Uniform

 Recommended School Dress

The school’s colours are jade with white, navy, black or grey.  Children are expected to dress tidily as follows: (Items indicated with an * are available to buy at school)

  • Jade school sweatshirt* or cardigan*
  • School polo shirt*, white or navy shirt or blouse
  • Grey/Black trousers not jeans, leggings or jeggings
  • Grey/Black shorts, or culottes-weather dependent at the school’s discretion
  • Grey/Black skirt, knee length
  • Black shoes (not boots)
  • Black or grey tights
  • Grey, white or black socks
  • Cap or Legionnaire hat*

 

Pre-loved uniform is available from the school office at 50p per item.

 

P.E. Kit:

Named, draw-string bag* with: trainers, shorts*, T-shirt in school colours*, trainers.  Jogging trousers for outdoor games.

Children taking part in football/touch-rugby will need football boots or trainers.  Second-hand boots are often available in school. 

We ask that children always have PE Kit at school every day. 

Children will be asked to remove all jewellery including watches and earrings.  

 

Wild Tribe

Children will need old jogging trousers, a long-sleeved top, wellies, socks and waterproof coat and trousers.

 

Jewellery

In the interests of safety, no jewellery other than watches should be worn (removed for PE and Wildtribe). “Medic Alert” bracelets are exceptions to this rule. With the exception of small ear studs, earrings are not to be worn to school. Studs need to be removed for PE & Games. If your child is having their ears pierced we ask that it is done at the beginning of the summer holidays so that the ears will have healed by the time they return to school in September and any studs can be removed for PE.  If earrings cannot removed, they will need to be covered with plasters or micropore tape for PE lessons.

 

For safety reasons the following items are not permitted at school: -

  • Jewellery (except a watch or one pair of ear studs)
  • Shoes with unsuitable heels or platforms/boots
  • Crocs or open toed sandals
  • Mobile phones
  • Scarves
  • Nail varnish or tattoo transfers
  • Make up

 

Hair

Please keep hair in a natural shade and conventional style, no extreme haircuts or hair gel.  Long hair must be tied back.  Small hairbands and hair ties only please.

 

Money and Valuables

We discourage pupils from bringing in money, jewellery or toys, unless specifically asked to do so by a member of staff.

 

Extras

Pupils in Key Stage 1 and EYFS will be issued a book bag to bring in their belongings.

Pupils in Key Stage 2 can bring a rucksack with their belongings in. 

Water bottle: Foundation to Year 6

Named Suntan lotion, and sun hat, to be kept in school in the Summer term.
